1. Pick a topic or research on a given topic.

Is the essay a general overview of the subject or a specific analysis? Based on the requirement, you have to focus on the topics. 2. Prepare an outline or diagram of your ideas.

In order to write a successful essay, you must organize your thoughts and jot down the points step by step. Once you write down your ideas, you will get a clear picture of the essay. The outline that you have chalked out should be implemented now. Write three to four lines about every point. Expand the points with relative information that will help you consolidate your ideas together.

4. Write the introduction.

Introduction should be written in such a way that it grabs the attention of your professor or examiner the moment he/she starts reading it. Start with a gripping information or a quotation. Then continue with the essay.

5. Write the conclusion.

The conclusion must be strong so that it leaves an impact in the mind of the reader even after the examiner or the reader has finished reading your essay. The conclusion should not only sum up all the points that you have conveyed in the essay but also reinforce and boost your thesis. Your conclusion should consist of three to five strong sentences.
