Apple warns users of Beats Pill XL speakers to stop using the gadget immediately

Apple acquired the Beats Music music streaming company last year. Apple is soon launching the music service rebranded under its own name. Not only the music streaming service of Beats, Apple also acquired the hardware sections which deals mainly Beats Pill XL speakers. Recently, Apple reported that its Beats Pill XL speakers are facing overheating problems which may cause fire safety risk.

Apple and Beats have decided to recall the defective devices by issuing a return policy. In exchange, Apple will provide you with an Apple Store credit or electronic payment in the amount of $325 USD or approximate equivalent in local currency. This means if you own Beat Pill XL speakers, you will have to return the speakers to Apple and in return Apple will pay you $325. Since the issues could not be resolved quickly, Apple could not provide replacements by new speakers.

Speakers which are in black, white, pink, metallic sky and titanium colors are prone to accidents. The images shown here are of one such defective fire risked speaker. Since, refunding and returning would be a hectic process, but Apple and Beats together took this step keeping in mind the safety of the customers.

2. Apple will send you a postage paid box so that you can return your Beats Pill XL speakers to them.

3. When the speakers will reach the company, Apple Store will credit or electronic payment will be available within approximately 3 weeks.
