Opera has introduced a native ad blocker in its web browsers for both computer and mobile platforms.

A new compression technology that has been incorporated in Opera mini, users can save 90% data usage from a web page. Now with the native ad blocker, a huge portion of data chunks that are usually the advertisements, are chopped off thus leveraging the page loading speed by 89%, compared to the page loading speed without ad blocking.  45% compared to browsers with third-party ad-blocking extensions.

 

If you want to turn on Ad blocker in Opera Mini for Android, then check out the following steps:

Under the “O” menu in Opera Mini, tap the data-savings summary.

  • On iOS, ad blocking is available in Opera Turbo savings mode.
  • On Android, ad blocking is available in both savings modes.
  • Now toggle “Block ads” on or off.
