Samsung and TSMC will build Apple's A8 chip, or so they say

Samsung and Apple may be rival when it comes to offering mobile features but Samsung is one of the manufacturers of mobile chips that is used by Apple in its mobile devices. Last week Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) officially announced its project of building A8 chip for Apple. But Apple has not yet clarified any thing. Samsung also claimed to be one of the partners of manufacturing A8 chip for iPhones.

Even though TSMC have declined to comment, but its shares have managed to rise up 2.33 percent. Right at this moment it is not confirmed whether Samsung is involved in the project. Samsung is Apple’s chip manufacturing partner to Cupertino’s woe but TSMS claims to be the sole manufacturer.

Samsung has produced all of the mobile CPUs for Apple’s iPhone and iPad, including the 64-bit A7 processor found in the iPhone 5s, iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display. Whatever is the issue, it will be disclosed in due time, but the fact that Apple is bringing something in the market is awesome.
