Samsung’s New Launch: A quick look at Galaxy A7 Features

Samsung has recently launched its new A series model Galaxy A7 along with three other 4G smartphones this Monday. This sleek phablet have been already been in the Indian market and its price is around 30,499 INR. All the four smartphones were on display at the Samsung Forum 2015 in Bangkok but no doubt the full metal body sleek Galaxy A7 catches the eye the most.

Galaxy A3 and A5 felt bigger and slimmer than iPhone 5S but this new model A7 is more Samsung like with its large S-series like body. The 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED screen with a 1080×1920 pixels resolution is bright and big enough to watch videos and movies comfortably. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass and it’s a bit reflective and especially with glaring lights around and from the images you can see the display did shine quite admirably. The 6.3mm slim and fantastic metal unibody, the flat top with rectangular rounded design and back panel with silver bevel camera housing, speaker grille and flash gives it a jaw dropping look and metal unibody makes it easy to hold.

Samsung Galaxy A7 is the first Samsung smartphone to jump on the 64-bit bandwagon. The device draws power from Qualcomm’s new octa-core Snapdragon 615 and Adreno 405 GPU. The features are quite impressing. It has 2GB RAM with internal 16GB storage and external storage up to 64GB. The camera features are excellent with 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera supports wide-angle for group selfies. The phone supports Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, WiFi. There appear to be two versions of the Galaxy A7, one which is an LTE Cat 4 and an HSPA+ version. It’s also got the usual-modes that Samsung tends to add on its smartphone camera, which also includes a Beauty-face mode.

While the A7 comes with some good features, a few of the Android faithful could be turned off by the fact that the handset comes running the outdated Android 4.4.4 inside. In comparison to this, the Galaxy S4 just at INR 17,499 and already runs the Android 5.0 Lollipop. For a smartphone that’s a little over 30k in price, one would imagine Lollipop will come naturally pre-installed.

Overall, Galaxy A7 is good package and Samsung is hoping to hit the market with its exclusive new launch.
