Apple has been in the news for all great reasons starting from Apple iPhone 6, the large screen iPhone 6 Plus, Apple Watch to the new updated version of Apple’s mobile operating system the iOS 8. However Apple has been reprimanded severely for some cases of the bending of iPhone Plus. Users have sarcastically named iPhone 6 as the “Bentgate” and competitors have not been nice either. But finally Apple spoke up to Wall Street Journal.

Apple which has been a victim of constant pun and lambaste has been vocal on the issue and put up the statistics clearly that the issues met by users is as low as 9 out of 10 million devices sold which equals to 0.00009%. iPhone 6 body is made from the highly durable anodized aluminium which suffered a surprisingly deformation in shape for 9 users who carried them in pocket.

Apple said,” We chose these high-quality materials and construction very carefully for their strength and durability. We also perform rigorous tests through the entire development cycle, including 3-point bending, pressure point cycling, sit, torsion and user studies. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus meet or exceed all of our high quality standards to endure everyday, real life usage.”

But Mat Honan from WIRED had some other experiences to share though. He said,” My screen is also scratched. There are three small but distinct scratches, and I’ve no idea how any of them got there. I haven’t carried my keys in my pocket with it. I haven’t done anything unusual with it. But there they are. So after four days, I have a slightly bent, slightly scratched phone. Which means that, while this is the best hardware I’ve ever used – from the processor to the camera to the display – I’m worried about durability.”
