Blackberry slammed down the rumor of selling itself to Samsung

Rumors never seem to leave these big companies and big people and Blackberry and Samsung seem to be right now at the target point. A rumor was making rounds in the internet that Samsung is acquiring Blackberry. The rumor emerged out of nowhere. It’s true that Blackberry has been enhancing compatibility with Android devices and Android apps support since a while because of certain limitations of its own platform but selling itself to another company is entirely a different story.

The news which circulated said that Samsung will be purchasing Blackberry at a price of $7.5 billion. Both the companies have downright denied the rumors. The Canada based company announced in an AP report,”BlackBerry has not engaged in discussions with Samsung with respect to any possible offer to purchase BlackBerry”. The company also added, “BlackBerry’s policy is not to comment on rumors or speculation, and accordingly it does not intend to comment further.”

Samsung has also claimed the rumor to be absolutely baseless. It’s a no-brainer to guess that Samsung won’t offer to purchase such a high rated company for such a small price.
