Microsoft again spurned the United States Court order of giving access to mails of overseas clients to the US Government. On 31st July, chief Judge Loretta Preska of the U.S. District Court, Manhatten, gave this verdict on rules of emails but Microsoft seems to be nonchalant and determined to not allow US prosecutors get hold of this. In straight words Microsoft refused mail access of overseas users to US Government.

Preska said that her orders “merely confirmed the government’s temporary forbearing of its right to stay enforcement of the order it secured.” She also added,”The fact the court has not closed this case cuts against Microsoft’s argument” that her order was final and appeal-able. Microsoft refused to abide by the court orders and according to them, “Microsoft will not be turning over the email and plans to appeal,” a Microsoft spokesperson told Reuters. “Everyone agrees this case can and will proceed to the appeals court. This is simply about finding the appropriate procedure for that to happen.”

Microsoft has been already answerable to many customers and the company clearly clarified that it does not approve any prying on the confidentiality of its users. China has shown disappointment to many of the US based companies for the fear of being stalked by the US Government. We have told you that Microsoft is on its way to sort down things. It’s a great trepidation for every company to lose revenue from foreign customers just because of this same issue of the US law enforcement power.
