Apple launched a line of products in its Fall launch event which included the iPad Pro, iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. There were several new features that were incorporated even in iOS 9. An improved multi tasking ability, OS stability, iOS also brought fascinating changes in Siri. Siri has included the voice recognition capability which allows Siri to only listen to its owner and not anyone else.

This command listening feature is exclusively for the user and no one else can make Siri work with their commands. Apple included the Hey Siri feature back with iOS 8 and it has the samr functionality like Cortana’s Hey Cortana. The Hey Siri feature can wake up your iPhone without even requiring your touch. Your voice will suffice to serve the purpose.

How can you enable this feature in Siri? All you have to do is go to Settings, then select General. Next tap on Siri and enable the option ‘Allow “Hey Siri”‘. Now once you tap on it you’ll be taken through a series of tests which can customize Siri with the owner’s voice. For e.g Siri will ask you to speak out the texts it will display like “Hey, Siri” three times. Then after that, the owner will be prompted to iread out the commands like “Hey, Siri, what’s the weather today?” and “Hey, Siri, it’s me.”

In this way, Siri is personalized to match the iPhone owner’s voice only and will not reciprocate to any other’s voice. The feature will roll out worldwide on September 16, 2015.
