After Group Chat, WhatsApp Launches Group Calling For Video and Voice Call

whatsapp group voice and video call

Ever since Facebook acquired WhatsApp, it has added new features that entice more and more users. A few years back, WhatsApp introduced the voice calling feature and subsequently the video calling feature. Now it is here to amuse you with the new group calling for both video conference and voice calling.
This new group calling feature of WhatsApp will enable maximum of four users to take part in the conference. How can this be done? The process is very simple. You have to initiate a voice or video call with another contact. Then there will be a new option for you where you can add participants in the top right corner of the app screen.

Besides, WhatsApp has worked on providing seamless connectivity. With this, users can carry on their voice and video conferencing under different network conditions. The company wants to provide you seamless connectivity in different network conditions.

Check out the message by WhatsApp on their blog:

Over the last couple years, people have enjoyed making voice and video calls on WhatsApp. In fact, our users spend over 2 billion minutes on calls per day. We’re excited to announce that group calls for voice and video are coming to WhatsApp starting today.

You can make a group call with up to four people total – anytime and anywhere. Just start a one-on-one voice or video call and tap the new “add participant” button in the top right corner to add more contacts to the call.

Group calls are always end-to-end encrypted, and we’ve designed calling to work reliably around the world in different network conditions. The feature is currently rolling out on the iPhone and Android versions of our app.
