Industries That Need To Use Virtual Reality Technology in 2019

Now that virtual reality is not just for games anymore, businesses across industries are trying to adopt this technology to build better relationships with their customers. Nowadays, the users are expecting a more customized experience and virtual reality is the best way to accomplish that. Here are some industries that need to start harnessing the power of virtually reality or risk falling behind.

Retail

One of the biggest obstacles preventing customers from buying clothes online is buyer remorse. They are afraid that the clothes will not fit and it will be a big hassle to send them back. Virtual reality can show customers how they will look in the clothes by using body scanning technology via the cameras inside smartphones or computers. This also eliminates the need of having to make a physical trip to the store which further adds to the convenience and encourages customers to shop online.

Fashion

When we take a closer look at the fashion industry, we notice that it is getting more and more virtual. In fact, fashion shows are becoming virtual as well such the recent Ukrainian Fashion Week. One virtual reality company created a fashion show in VR which allowed designers to better showcase their clothes to audiences all over the world. Virtual reality customers and designers located on the other side of the world did not have to watch a video of the fashion show. Thanks to virtual reality, it was as if they were in the room itself.

Tourism

Whenever we consider going somewhere on vacation, we are always haunted by the thought that the place is nothing like what the website describes it and you will end up regretting the trip. Now, all you have to do is put on some VR glasses and you can take a virtual tour of popular landmarks, restaurants and hotels.

Real Estate

Buying a house is a big step and you need to make sure that you are aware of all the details about the house that you are considering buying. While the real estate agent might give you some flyers or pamphlets describing the house, it would be much better and informative to take a virtual tour. Also, when you come home, you can offer the same experience to your family members thus also letting them enjoy their future home.

Education

Imagine not having to read a textbook to learn all about ancient Rome. All you will have to do is put on virtual reality glasses and it will as if you are right there in the coliseum watching gladiators. The same thing can be said about virtual any subject since VR offers a much greater level of immersion and engagement. In fact, some schools are already using virtual reality dissections, anatomy, astronomy and many other subjects.

VR is likely to influence your workplace, hobbies and social life in the future – and that’s sooner than you may think. The possibilities of VR are endless; the only things we can’t replace in VR are eating and sleeping… for now.
