The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has gracefully arrived in the market and along with it, has come another flaw which is like a little blemish on the otherwise flawless device. Many news channel reported that the S Pen which comes handy with Note 5 can be damaged permanently if it is inserted backward into the S Pen panel. This is really a casual flaw left out by Samsung, that a small mistake can break the most prominent feature of the phone. Experts are saying that it can always happen that a child gets hand of the phone and he/she might end up doing little prank or say experiment. This will cost you huge!
Android Police has given a detailed coverage on this issue and even launched a video. In previous Note models, there was one thing made sure. It never allowed a wrong insertion of the S Pen. The design of the S Pen was crafted in such a way that the pen would not slide into the slot smoothly with the wrong side in. Even if you try doing so, you would require to apply a force, which would be enough to make you realize that you are doing something wrong.
But this is not the case for Galaxy Note 5. The S Pen can be inserted in the wrong side with as much fluidity as it would with the right way. But when you do so, it will get stuck leading to permanent disability of the S Pen. Many are saying that Samsung was well aware of the situation but let’s see what Samsung has to say on this.
Samsung’s US arm issued a statement to Android Police as well as BBC.
We highly recommend our Galaxy Note5 users follow the instructions in the user guide to ensure there are no issues.
Samsung has clearly mentioned the right way of inserting S Pen in its user manual. But does that solve the problem? What do you think?
