Samsung is going to release its next flagship handset Galaxy Note 6, sometime around mid August. The tentative date is scheduled to be August 15 but dates may change. Reports say that the launch date has been strategically scheduled to take place before the launch of Apple’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.  Initially rumor speculated that Samsung will call for a July launch but a recent tweet by @evleaks Evan Blass wiped off the previous rumor stating that the new flagship device will roll out by August.

Evan Blass is known for providing authentic leaked news and hence the news has been given special attention. Last year,  Galaxy Note 5 was released on August 13th last year in North America and the previous year, Galaxy Note 4 was released at the same times as iPhone 6 series which created a mess altogether. So this time Samsung is bit more careful.

Speculations and excitement to know the specs and features are oozing out. Reliable source SamMobile wrote that  some of the “confirmed” features of the new phone are USB Type-C port, IP68 water, dust resistance, a 4,000 mAh battery and a BlackBerry-inspired Samsung Focus suite of apps. The phone is expected to sporthigh end hardware devices along with  a curved display version as well.
