Google Lens is a Photo analysis application that can retrieve information from an image and provide it to its users. The Android devices have already received the update. If you have the updated Google Photos app, then you must have discovered the Google Lens icon at the bottom. If you tap on it, Google Lens run an analysis over the image and then supply necessary information, search results from internet and many more functions.
Google Lens cannot detect images of persons or zoomed images. It can let you know about a particular animal, food, books, paintings of famous artists, it can turn on Wi-Fi, call a number and a lot more. iOS users have been in waiting list until today. Google has made a revelation that iOS will be getting this very soon.

Other functionalities include:
- saving contact details extracted from photographed business cards
- looking up reviews of books by taking a picture of the cover
- Saving events advertised on flyers or billboards as an event in your calendar
Google Lens was launched in Google I/O Conference last year. Google began rolling out this innovative feature first to its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL flagship phones. Finally since the start of 2018, the feature has rolled out to all Android devices.
