But we can expect Google Meet to arrive to these two popular platforms soon. However, in this article, we will talk about Google Meet crashing or not working in Android, and some tips to fix them.
Quit and Rejoin the Meeting
The first step you must do is to quit the meeting. After that rejoin once more, to see if it is okay. Here are the steps in simple terms:
- First of all, quit or end the meeting.
- After meeting has ended, go to the Settings app on your Android smartphone. Now, go to Apps (or Apps Manager) and choose Google Meet application.
- Go to Storage & Cache. Next, tap on Clear Storage and Clear Cache.
- You can also click on Force Stop. This will readily solve any problem, if nothing major.
Check Internet For Any Global Outage
It has happened a lot of times before. Due to excessive pressure from users, during this pandemic, Google Meet has suffered regional outage in many places. So, you can check the internet and see if the outage is for everyone or for your gadget only.
Uninstall and Re-install the app
This is another simple yet highly effective way. If there is any buggy update downloaded on your system and your system is refusing to update to the new version, the uninstall the app and then re-install it afresh.
For that, go to Play Store, search Google Meet. Tap on unsintall, and then tap on Reinstall, or even better Update. If there is an Update available, then wait for the update. The new update may change bug inside the app.
Try Not To Move
If you are on the go, then moving further here and there may cause damge to the performance of the app. In that case, if possible you must wait for sometime at a place, so that the signal or server is strongly established.
